‘Personal skin care’ is a routine

We have a tendency to all know the importance of ‘personal skin care’.  The opinion on how-to (for personal skin care) differs from person to person. Some people believe that going to beauty parlours every different day is personal skin care. Others believe that private skin care is just a matter of applying some cream or lotion on your skin, each now and then. Then there are people who suppose that personal skin care is an incident that happens once a month or once a year. Still others busy themselves with ‘personal skin care’ all the time. But, personal skin care is not that complicated and neither is it that expensive (considering how helpful it’s). Personal skin care is following a routine or a procedure for going to the needs of your skin.

Even before you start with a routine, you need to determine your skin-type (oily, dry, sensitive, normal etc) and choose the private skin care merchandise appropriate for it (you may must experiment with a few personal skin care product). Here is a routine that ought to work for most individuals with normal skin.

The first thing on personal skin care routine is ‘Cleansing’. The three main ingredients of a cleanser are oil, water and surfactants (wetting agents).  Oil and surfactants extract dirt and oil from your skin and water then flushes it out, therefore creating your skin clean. You may should attempt a few cleansers before you discover the one that suits you the best. However, you should invariably use soap-free cleansers. Conjointly, you must use Luke heat water for cleansing (cold and hot water, each, cause damage to your skin).  Make sure that you don’t over-cleanse your skin and finish up damaging your skin in the process.

The second thing on the personal skin care routine is exfoliation. Skin follows a natural maintenance method whereby it removes the dead cells and replaces them with new skin cells. Exfoliation is simply a approach to facilitate the skin during this process. Dead skin cells don’t seem to be capable of responding to non-public skin care product however still consume these merchandise, hence preventing them from reaching the new skin cells. So removing dead skin cells is important so as to extend the effectiveness of all personal skin care products. Typically, exfoliation takes it place just once cleansing. As with any personal skin care procedure, it’s vital that you understand how much exfoliation you need. Exfoliate 4-five times per week for shiny/normal skin and one-2 times per week for dry/sensitive skin. Exfoliate a number of times additional in hot and humid weather.

Next issue on personal skin care routine is moisturizers.  This is one amongst the most necessary things in personal skin care. Even folks with oily skin want moisturisers. Moisturisers not only seal the moisture in your skin cells, however also attract moisture (from air) whenever needed.  Use of too much moisturiser can however clog skin pores and finish up harming your skin. The quantity of moisturiser needed by your skin will become apparent to you at intervals one week of you using the moisturiser.  Also, applying the moisturiser is best when your skin remains damp.

The last factor on personal skin care routine is sunscreen. A ton of moisturizers (day-time creams/moisturisers) come back with UV protection – thus you’ll get double edges from them. Such moisturisers are counseled for all days (irrespective of whether or not it is sunny or cloudy).

Again, experiment with numerous personal skin care merchandise and also with the number you would like to apply. What offers you best results is the simplest personal skin care recipe for you. But, if you’ve got some reasonably skin dilemma, it’s best to consult your dermatologist before you actually start using any personal skin care products.

- Certain medications and antibiotics
- High sugar diets
- Pregnancy - Cigarette smoke
- Diabetes
- Food allergies

The development of a yeast infection (scientifically referred to as candidiasis) is not an uncommon occurence. Most show up as a relatively harmless looking red rash, but the the accompanying itching and pain can be very unpleasant.

Though they can initially be little more than unsightly and unpleasant, the symptoms can be become more serious unless the yeast infection is dealt with. Left untreated, one can also, particularly if the affected area is the abdomen, lead to…

- Problems with memory and concentration
- Sinus congestion
- Tiredness
- Headaches
- Mood swings

The first step in treating a yeast infection is usually to obtain an over-the-counter medication, that is applied directly to the skin surface. These medications come with full instructions, and are simple enough to use. Sticking strictly to the directions that come with them is essential to seeing success with them, so be sure to apply the right amount and not to miss out applying them on some days - consistency is key.

Alternative, natural remedies can also be found if you either don’t like using chemical medications, or have failed to rid yourself of your yeast infection through the use of them.

Professional medical advice should be sought if both over the counter medications or natural remedies fail to resolve the problem. Helping Your Skin Condition

Although many people claim that acne is not a chronic condition, tissue scarring tends to convince us of the contrary. When the skin damage level is too high and the cells are compromised on extended areas, various dermatological procedures can be tried for a safe and complete acne scar removal. There are several criteria that influence a specialist into recommending a certain therapeutic course of action: the severity of the scar, the patient’s medical history, the type of scars, the tolerance to medication and personal preference.

Scars are separated into categories known as pit scars, ice picks and crater-like scars. The acne scar removal may therefore include procedures with temporary or permanent results. Sometimes in order to get rid of the scared skin areas several medical stages are required. Chemical peeling, dermabrasion, laser surgery, punch grafts, collagen injections or fat transfer are but a few from the list of the interventions used for acne scar removal. Check out an effective pimple treatment guide.

The costs of acne scar removal vary depending on the complexity of the procedure, but laser therapy is surely one of the most expensive of all. If we count the cost of several sessions, then, the overall amount will be like a little fortune. It is a good idea to check the health insurance policy and see whether part of the intervention costs are covered by the insurance company or no. Most of the time such surgery makes people take money out of their pocket, which is why the average user can seldom relish it. Find a pimple treatment diet.

No matter the type of procedure, acne scar removal represents a process that takes a lot of time and patience. In most cases, the various therapeutic interventions are followed by temporary side effects that make the skin look even worse than before, with swollen red areas that are painful most of the time. This stage is common to almost all the surgical treatments since they all share a basic element: the stimulation of the natural tissue growth, which cannot happen without the infliction of small wounds.

Moreover, the efficiency of the acne scar removal treatment depends on a range of subjective factors related to the individual specificity of each person. The recovery interval after the intervention is also influenced by the personal speed of reaction, some people will grow new tissues sooner while the process may take longer for others. And last but not least, even the number of surgical interventions is established by the doctor in accordance with these specifics. Learn about exposed acne.

Low Glycemic Food is good for Acne.

The link between acne and diet is strong. This distressing condition is very common. On average it is as high as 79 to 85% in adolescents and 40 to 54% in people aged 25 and older. In middle age 3% of men and 12% of women have acne.

No one knows the true cause of acne. The fact that there is a lower incidence of acne in non-Western countries raises the possibility of a link between acne and low carbohydrate intake. The theory is that high carbohydrate intake causes raised Insulin level (Hyperinsulinemia). High Insulin level is an important part of acne in general because it affects androgenic hormones and growth factor.

Dr. Robin. N. Smith and colleagues, in a study, used randomised low glycemic load diet and a control diet that was rich in carbohydrates. The low glycemic load diet had 45% energy from low glycemic Index carbohydrate and 25% from protein. Included in the study were 45 male aged 15 to 24 years. The study was carried out at the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. This is the first randomised controlled trial to examine the influence the effects of glycemic load has on acne.  In the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition July Issue the published results showed that compared to the group on carbohydrate rich diet, there was significant reduction of acne in the low glycemic diet. So for acne, low Glycemic food is the Good Health Option.

Dr. Smith and his colleagues, in a press release, said, “Although we could not isolate the effect of the low glycemic load diet from that of weight loss, the findings support the hypothesis of a relationship between high insulin levels and acne.”

Foods with low Glycemic Index are complex carbohydrate rich. Consequently, glucose is released slowly. If sugar is slowly released into the blood, the demand on Insulin is less. Circulating blood sugar is controlled by Insulin. It also affects sex and growth hormones.

Blood sugar level is monitored after food is eaten to assess the Glycemic Index of foods.

Highy Glycemic Index(HGI): 70+

Medium Glyemic Index (MGI): 56 to 69.

Low Glycemic Index (LGI); 55 and lower.

HGI (High Glycemic Index)  Foods. Pretzels 83 Rice Cakes 87 Glutinous Rice 86  Short Grain White Rice 83  Tapioca 70  Scones 92 Fresh Mashed Potatoes 73  French Fries 75  Donuts 76 Instant Mashed Potatoes 80  Watermelon 80 Dates 103 Instant White Rice 87

So Reject white bread, burgers, and French fries and eat more beans and cereals to keep those zits away or under your control.

For good health, low stress and clear skin maintain a low glycemic diet.

Instant wrinkle removers seem to appear on the market every time you turn your head. The truth is that the use of any of these products for one night will instantly remove the wrinkles. No matter what celebrity claims their product is the best for healing wrinkles instantly, you have to do your own homework to find out which product is best for you. You can find some great producsts to make you look younger as long as you ae not expecting miraculous, instant results.

If you want a product for healing wrinkles, what should you look for? The top three reasons that you should (or should not!) buy a skin care product.

1. Are your needs addressed by the product?

You may be concerned about sagging skin that is highlighted by your wrinkles. You might have bags under your eyes. Instant wrinkle removers appeal to women and men for a variety of reasons. Find the product that corrects your specific problem. A good company will have a few, well done, specific products that addresses each skin care need.

2. What are the chemicals in the products?

Harsh chemicals that can damage your skin are used by many companies that claim their prodcuts are superior for healing wrinkles. Look at the ingredients. One chemical that is in many skin care products is dioxane. Dioxane is considered a carcinogen by the state of California. Do you want to put a cancer causing agent on your skin? Something that may also damage your skin is the fragrances in that in instant wrinkle removers. Some of the leading skin care companies continure to put alchohol in their products even after years of reserach that proves it dries out your skin.

3. Any product that has many high-paying celebrity endorsements is one that you must be aware of.

Likely these skin care companies are spending more money on marketing than on research. When large amounts of cash are offered, even celebritites will stretch the truth about instant wrinkle removers. Who would you prefer to buy from: a company that sells a quality product or one that in only interested in making money by selling you any product? Research products that are for healing wrinkles on the Internet before you are swayed by celebrities.

So you have decided you will not be taken in by celebrities telling you your skin is bad all over when you just need a product that will help in healing wrinkles. A good tip is this: Find a product that is not foudn in many of those advertised products, CoQ10, that claim to be instant wrinkle removers. This ingredient is a powerful anti-oxidant that works like a vitamin on your skin. Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 is one form that penetartes deep into your skin. You will see the results after a few days of use.

Ways of Preventing Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

September 8, 2009 by DarleneN · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Skin Care

Women who are pregnant are the targets of numerous scams and miraculous stretch mark skin care creams are the more popular. While a little Vitamin E can be good for the skin, to expect that it will make all stretch marks go away overnight is not sensible. No matter what is applied, the skin will in all probability show scars of drastic stretching that takes place over a short time period. The level of successful healing depends upon an individuals age, skin tone, heredity and diet.

Unfortunately, stretch marks are a fact of life for 90% of all women who are pregnant, quite often revealing themselves by the end of the third trimester. Nevertheless, there are particular risk factors that might determine the severity of the scarring. In a mixed race study, 77.8% of those with darker skin colors and 45% of those with lighter skin colors experienced maternity stretch marks. Another study discovered that there was a genetic link with most stretch mark sufferers’ mothers also showing stretchmarks. Even more noteworthy, though, was the finding that 81% of the women who reported post-pregnancy marks already had them before becoming pregnant. As women get older, they are less likely to develop these scars. Women who hydrate their skin are said to be less likely to get the marks too.

Even though there are various alleged stretch mark removal treatments on the market, most are at best only partially effective. The least invasive treatment is the use of stretch mark creams such as Tretinoin cream (Retin-A, Renova) that can help with new stretching during pregnancy. These creams work by rebuilding collagen with the result of reducing stretch mark appearance. Also available for new marks is Pulsed Dye Laser Therapy or Fractional Photothermolysis, both of which use wavelengths of light to promote collagen and elastin growth. For older marks, Microdermabrasion employs a handheld device to buff the skin surface with crystals, thereby taking away skin cells from the top layer of skin to promote newer, more elastic skin growth. In addition, for older white marks, the Excimer laser endeavors to stimulate melanin production to reduce the appearance of the scars.

Since 90% of women encounter maternity stretch marks of some sort, there is no need to lament or agonize your new body. Your hubby will eternally view you as the mother of his children, which holds a particularly special significance, regardless of how your body has changed over these last nine months. Sometimes, a couple of sessions of confidence counseling can do a lot more than some miraculous cream for preventing pregnancy stretch marks that might do little more than cost you money. Unless the scars stretch over large parts of your whole body, you need not worry about these innocuous marks. The best thing you can do is focus on losing weight, feeling restored and looking after that warm, snuggly new baby.

When referring to acne control we generally imply the regular topical application of products meant to stop the acne break out and promote healing. This is the case with products that contain bezoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or powerful oily extracts, yet such treatments give adverse reactions too. They can be very irritant with a potentially damaging effect on the healthy skin. Acne control should therefore be taken gradually and wisely in order to prevent further harm infliction on the tissues.

Tretinoin is a product praised for good results in the acne control. It triggers the peeling of the superficial skin layer and causes a pores de-congestion. The problem with tretinoin is that it actually makes acne worse at first before coming to clear it. Among the adverse reactions to the treatment we can count skin scaling, stinging, swelling or flushing. You can choose from gels, facial lotions, creams and foams that contain tretinoin, but remember to administrate them carefully.

Adapalene is another acne control product that can only be purchased on the basis of a prescription. The big merit of this medication is that it keeps the pores free of toxins, but it is accompanied by adverse reactions like skin swelling, irritation, local dryness and itching. Stay under medical observation and monitoring during the use of this acne-control product, particularly since it is often associated with the administration of oral antibiotics too.

Cosmetic treatments deserve credit for solving lots of skin problems and helping one develop acne control. The only difficulty with cosmetic compounds is that they can aggravate or camouflage acute acne outbreaks doing more damage than good to the skin. Products that contain oil, lanolin, petroleum or stereatic acid should be avoided because the block the skin pores. Alcohol is much better under the circumstances, but the highest quality is available with water-based cosmetics.

Acne control brought by wonder products is often hard to believe, and it’s wise to remember that prevention is the best way to stay in charge of the skin look. Proper information on how to care for zits so that skin healing can be complete and without scars is of paramount importance. Stick to a healthy diet because junk food only adds up to the toxins in the system and makes acne worse.
